Risk

An honest list of how you could lose money here. Read it before you trade, not after.

The contracts are unaudited

No third party has reviewed this code. It is covered by 49 automated tests including adversarial, fuzz and stateful invariant suites, and it has settled real trades — but that is our own testing, not an independent audit. A bug could cost you everything you have escrowed. The source is public so you can read it yourself; it is deliberately short.

Arc is a closed network

Premiums exist because the official bridges into Arc are not open. That is the entire reason this market has a price. When access opens, premiums collapse. If you are holding Arc USDC bought at a large premium, you may not be able to sell it at anything near what you paid.

Token-level blocklist

USDC on Arc is administered by its issuer, which can freeze addresses at the chain level. A frozen address cannot move USDC — and that includes escrow contracts. This is entirely outside our control and no refund path can override it.

Counterparty and liveness

The desk can stall a trade — by not reserving, or by not submitting a delivery — but it can never capture one. Reserved liquidity pays only the recipient fixed at reserve time; payments pay only the parties named at lock time. If the desk disappears mid-trade, your refund path remains open.

Operational risk

The keeper runs on a server with a hot key. If that key were compromised, an attacker could stall trades and, for liquidity posted by third-party makers, move reserved slices. Maker-signed reservations are the fix and are required before third-party market making is opened.

Price and volatility

Premiums are set by makers and change quickly. The book can be thin. A price you see may be gone by the time you sign. Nothing here is a quote guarantee, investment advice, or a promise of liquidity.

Your own mistakes

You choose the receiving address. If you enter an address you do not control, or one on the wrong chain, the funds go there and cannot be recovered by us or by anyone.

Regulatory

This is a non-custodial tool, not a licensed exchange, broker, or money transmitter. It does not hold your funds and cannot act on your behalf. You are responsible for whether using it is lawful where you live, and for your own tax reporting.
